Mamaru Awoke
Mamaru Awoke completed his PhD in Public Health Epidemiology at Monash University. Currently, he works as a Senior Research Officer at Cancer Council Victoria, where Dr. Awoke adeptly manages complex projects aimed at improving child and maternal nutrition, demonstrating proficiency in data management and advanced statistical analysis. Dr. Awoke is a self-motivated and results-driven researcher with a strong passion for health promotion and disease prevention, particularly in the domains of maternal and child health, epidemiology, and health policy. With expertise in large data management, survey design, and advanced longitudinal data analysis, his research primarily centres on the intricate relationship between nutrition and chronic diseases. With an extensive background in program evaluation and research, Dr. Awoke has collaborated on diverse health projects in various settings, from Ethiopia to Australia.
