Eva J Farragher

Eva Farragher is a PhD candidate with the University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia (School of Medicine and Public Health). She commenced her PhD in 2021, entitled 'A practice change intervention to increase the routine provision of care addressing maternal gestational weight gain during pregnancy'. Her research is part of an extensive trial in partnership with NSW Health which plans, implements and evaluates multi-faceted targeted strategies to improve antenatal care for gestational weight gain, diet and physical activity for pregnant women in urban and regional maternity settings. Eva commenced her health career as a Physiotherapist (Sydney University) working as a clinician in various public and private health care settings, where she developing a keen interest in Population and Public Health. Eva completed a Master of Public Health (Distinction) at the University of Newcastle in 2018 and has been working for NSW Health (Population Health) in the Maternal Health field ever since.
