Jennifer Lacy-Nichols
Dr Jenn Lacy-Nichols is a Victorian Health Promotion Foundation research fellow at the University of Melbourne. Her research seeks to understand the relationships between corporations, politics and health. Her current program of work explores opportunities for monitoring corporate political activities such as lobbying and political donations. Jenn completed a PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2019 that analysed the soft drink industry’s political strategy to position itself as ‘part of the solution’ to obesity. She is a member of the Governance, Ethics and Conflicts of Interest in Public Health network, the WHO’s expert group on CDoH, and Healthy and Sustainable Food Systems Australia. She was one of the lead authors on the 2023 Lancet series on Commercial Determinants of Health.
